Cedar sauna woods are strong, lightweight and generally do not warp or shrink over time while providing a more comfortable and cooler sauna surface to sit and lean on. Our DIY sauna liner kit is the easiest way to have a complete sauna quickly installed in your home or commercial space. You can install a sauna anywhere in your home. Just add our complete home sauna kit to your pre-built framed, insulated and wired structure. Our sauna kits are most commonly installed in basements, outdoor buildings (sheds), and commercial spaces in Canada and the USA. Our sauna material kits are made of Clear or Knotty Canadian Western Red cedar, and we can design and customize any shape and size to meet your needs. Sauna kits are the most affordable and effective option when building a sauna, and Bsaunas offers the lowest factory-direct prices. A sauna kit includes all of the material for the walls, ceiling and benches. In 10x10x7 Custom Western Red Cedar Sauna Kit we supply:

  • Foil vapour barrier
  • 1×4 or 1×3 11/16 T&G clear or knotty, grade ‘A’ cedar lining for walls & ceiling
  • All T&G finished on ONE side
  • Clear or knotty 2X4 grade ‘A’ cedar for benches and supports
  • Door Casings for inside and outside of the sauna
  • Corner mouldings for walls and ceiling
  • Cedar lower and upper vents grills
  • One marine-grade, vapour-proof light
  • Detailed sauna installation instructions

Sauna framing and exterior are quoted separately. Starting DIY Sauna price does not include a sauna heater.

Plank Orientation: All of our sauna kits come standard with horizontal wall planks and ceiling planks running front to back (depth-wise).

If you prefer a different orientation — such as vertical wall planks or ceiling boards running side to side — please specify this in the order notes when placing your order (subject to price change).

If no preference is noted, the default orientation will be used.

Our price builder suggests heaters based on typical kW requirements and standard clearance guidelines. It is your responsibility to ensure the selected heater is suitable for your specific sauna layout. Clearances may vary depending on heater placement (e.g., front wall vs. depth side) and wall materials (e.g., glass vs. wood). Sample images may not reflect actual clearance conditions. Always refer to the heater manual and use heat shields or non-combustible materials where required.

    The local and Wi-Fi sauna controls are essentially the same in terms of hardware and functionality. The key difference is that the Wi-Fi version includes an ID for connecting to the HUUM mobile app (Apple or Google Play). This feature allows you to remotely activate your sauna, enabling you to heat it up in advance, whether you're on your way home or just finishing a workout. It's designed to enhance convenience, ensuring your sauna is ready when you are.
