Plank Orientation (Walls + Ceiling)
All of our sauna kits come standard with horizontal wall planks.

Ceiling boards: The ceiling board direction is determined by the shorter interior dimension of the sauna (Depth vs. Width). The ceiling boards always run across the shortest span of the room to ensure proper support and a clean installation.

Examples:

• 10′ × 8′ sauna (D × W): shortest span is 8′, so ceiling boards run across the 8′ span (width-wise).
• 7′ × 9′ sauna (D × W): shortest span is 7′, so ceiling boards run across the 7′ span (depth-wise).

Please confirm the ceiling-board direction for your sauna and install your ceiling joists accordingly before installation. Proper joist orientation is required to support the supplied ceiling boards correctly.

If you prefer a different orientation (e.g., vertical wall planks or a different ceiling-board direction), please specify this in your order notes when placing your order (subject to price change).

If no preference is noted, the default orientation will be used.

Our price builder suggests heaters based on typical kW requirements and standard clearance guidelines. It is your responsibility to ensure the selected heater is suitable for your specific sauna layout. Clearances may vary depending on heater placement (e.g., front wall vs. depth side) and wall materials (e.g., glass vs. wood). Sample images may not reflect actual clearance conditions. Always refer to the heater manual and use heat shields or non-combustible materials where required.
